Return by Max W. Miller

Max W. Miller was born in Savannah, Georgia, but has lived in North Carolina with her husband and two children for many years. She comes from a large family with eight siblings who have also experienced supernatural encounters.

Max enjoys writing science fiction, fantasy, and all things paranormal because she believes that we have three distinct parts to our being—body, mind and spirit (soul), and that other life forms in other realms are just as real as we are. In her writing, Max uses popular fantasy, science fiction and paranormal topics such as aliens, ghosts, and witches, and expresses them in a way that is highly entertaining and thought provoking.

Q - What inspired you to write this story?
A – Since childhood, I have been sensitive to the unseen forces around us; I’ve felt and seen entities not of this world. I believe in a higher power that I choose to call: God, but the question of where we go after our lives end on this side is left up to individual belief systems. Last year I met an astrologer on a small Southern Island. She bought and read my books, The Legacy of Sadie Mae Stevens and Blood Melt. Through her fuel, a fire I already had in researching the subject of reincarnation ignited.

Q – How long did it take you to write Egyptian Moon – Return?
A – My first draft was completed in about three months. No respectable budding author releases a first draft. Overall it took six months to flesh out book 1, and find my way around the plot to formulate books 2 and 3. My release plan for Egyptian Moon – Return was the Women’s Empowerment Event 2014-Raleigh, NC. To pull this off, it took an outstanding editor, two beta readers, and many all-nighters. Booyah!

Q – What is your favorite thing about writing?
A – Writing has always been my place of peace. As a child I made up tales about being a fairy Princess, dressed in tattered clothes but underneath I was royalty. I am able to escape to worlds unknown and fuel my imagination with unlimited possibilities. My characters are developed in my mind. They become real long before I write about them. Talking to yourself is not always a bad thing. J

Q – What is your least favorite thing about writing?
A – It’s the shifting of gears from “Life” so that I can spend time with my creativity. Also, although I love discovering new information and expanding my vocabulary, it can be intrusive when I’m hot on an idea and then have to pull back to research a particular subject as truth and accuracy must be a part of fiction to make it real.

Q – If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
A – I would like to be Shonda Rhimes, the writer of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. Although we do not write in the same genre, her ability to spin a never ending, compelling drama is phenomenal.

Q – What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
A – Let’s see, the oldest thing in my fridge is a five year old jar of pickled jalapeno peppers. My husband and kids won’t let me throw them out. If you eat them, it’ll probably make flames shoot from your ears and nose and maybe somewhere else… J

Q – What can readers expect from you in the future?
A – I am on a never ending journey into the worlds of sci-fi / fantasy and all things paranormal. I write in several genres (Children, Teens/Young Adult, and New adult). This year, I plan to release the sequels to Sadie Mae Stevens, and Egyptian Moon. I’m also working on short stories that I will be rolling out continuously throughout the year. Most will be FREE to subscribers to my blog and inexpensive if purchased on Amazon. The two shorts story series that I’m presently working on are: Ghost Stories Unlimited and Monster Mates. All are welcome to visit my Blog for new and exciting FREE flash fiction and updates on my shenanigans. www.scififantasyfiction.com follow @maxwmiller / Become a FB Fan https://www.facebook.com/MaxWMiller
