A country girl born and bred, Dawn Luedecke has spent most of her life surrounded by horses, country folk, and the wild terrain of Nevada, Idaho and Montana. As a child she would spend many afternoons reading books, watching western classics, and Rogers and Hammerstein movies.
When she grew up she decided to leave the quiet country life for a chance to find adventure by serving a successful tour in the United States Coast Guard. During that time she found her soul mate (and alpha male) and started a family and writing career. She enjoys writing historical and paranormal romance and spends as much time as she can working on her current manuscript.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
My sister, Dusti, inspired me. When I sat down to write my first book ‘To Tame a Montana Heart’, I decided I wanted my heroine to be my sister. She is so completely innocent, yet extremely clumsy, that it makes her charming. Many of the accidents from the book were spin offs of real accidents she has had in life. It makes for a funny read.
Q) How long did it take you to write?
Since this was my first book, it took me two years to write. Now that I know the in-and-outs, I can write a book much faster.
Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I love to see how the story unfolds. It’s always a surprise to me what my characters do. They don’t always behave the way I wish they would.
Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Usually I would say editing, but right now I’m actually enjoying doing my edits for my upcoming release, ‘Big Sky Brazen’.
Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
I think I would be Linda Lael Miller. She is one of my favorite authors. I’d love to see how she goes about her business of writing.
Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Lol. Funny question. I’d have to say some old chip dip, and It’s not very old because I just cleaned out my fridge a month ago…so probably a month old.
Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I have a few things going on at this time. Later this year I will have two paperback books released – the second book in my Montana Girl Series, ‘Big Sky Brazen’, and an anthology of my Lighthouse Series books (currently available as epublished short stories).
In addition to my blog tour and virtual book signing I am currently doing. I am working on three books -- the third in the Montana Girl Series, another western historical, and a paranormal.
